Discover the methods and tools of archaeological excavation and learn about the sites and stories of Sharjah’s very early history.  The past is brought to life through displays of artefacts, films, interactive computer games, and realistic models of burials, houses and tombs.
People have lived in Sharjah for at least 7000 years. Visit us to learn about how they adapted to the environment, about the food they ate, the houses they built, and the weapons , jewellery and everyday objects they made.  The museum’s galleries take you through the time zones of the Stone Age, The Bronze Age , The Iron Age and into the era of Greater Arabia up to 611 A.D.
